Community guidelines

Last updated 25 June 2026 · OpenGlyph Editorial

OpenGlyph is an open, friendly, maker-spirited community. These guidelines keep it that way for everyone who browses, copies and contributes on OpenGlyph.org.

The spirit of OpenGlyph

Be kind, be accurate, and share openly. We’re a non-profit library, not a popularity contest — quality and correctness matter more than volume.

What we welcome

  • Original work, or content you have the right to share under an open license.
  • Entries that render correctly, with a clear category and source.
  • Respectful, inclusive language in submissions and any comments.
  • Corrections and improvements to existing entries.

What we remove

  • Hate speech, harassment, or NSFW / shock content.
  • Plagiarism or anything copied without the right to share it.
  • Trademark or logo misuse — vendor and game artwork belongs to its owners (non-affiliation).
  • Spam, SEO link-dropping, or self-promotion.

Code of conduct

Treat other contributors with respect. Assume good faith, give constructive feedback, and credit others’ work. Maintainers may edit, decline or remove submissions that don’t meet these standards, and may restrict accounts that repeatedly break them.

Reporting & moderation

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it through the contact page. A maintainer reviews each report against these guidelines and then corrects, credits or removes the content — and tells you the outcome. For how we verify accuracy and rendering, see how we curate & verify, and review content licensing before you submit.
