Render check

We have not run the render check on iPhone, Android, Windows or Discord yet, so we do not claim any result; the table below is left as “not tested” rather than filled in. Faces that use emoji (the sparkle and the exclamation marks) depend on the platform’s emoji font, while the rest use common symbol blocks. Your own screen is the real test.

Questions people ask

What is a shocked kaomoji?

A text face with round eyes and often an open mouth that shows surprise, a gasp or disbelief. It is ordinary text, so it copies and pastes anywhere text is accepted.

What is the difference between a shocked and a surprised kaomoji?

Shocked faces lean toward alarm or disbelief, with wide eyes and sweat marks; surprised faces lean toward delight, often with sparkle or star eyes. Both are grouped on this page.

Why do some faces show boxes?

The device has no font for one of the characters; the text itself is intact. Emoji and rarer marks depend on the platform font.

Are these free to use?

Yes. Faces are free to use under the licence on our content licensing page.
