Every heart symbol & how it renders
Heart glyphs across Unicode blocks, their code points, and platform-by-platform rendering notes.
“Heart” isn’t one character — it’s a whole family of code points spread across several Unicode blocks, each with its own look and support level.
The everyday hearts
The classics live in widely-supported blocks: ♥ (U+2665) the black heart suit, ♡ (U+2661) its outline, and ❤ (U+2764) the heavy heart that most platforms render in colour as an emoji.
- ❥ U+2765 — rotated heavy heart bullet.
- ❣ U+2763 — heavy heart exclamation.
- 💖 U+1F496 — sparkling heart (emoji range).
Why some show colour and some don’t
Whether a heart appears as flat text or a colourful emoji depends on the platform’s emoji presentation rules and any variation selector applied. Add U+FE0F to request emoji style; add U+FE0E to force plain text.
Copy with confidence
Each heart in our library lists its code point and notes any platforms where it falls back to text, so you always know what your reader will see.
